Adjusting Qualty on Streams

Is there any way to have an option to select between streams like a 64 for slower connections and 128 for faster connections. A lot of internet radios do this and it would help those on iPhones,etc, to be able to choose lower quality streams for when they have lower connections and could switch to 128 when in 3G zones or whatever. Then those at home have the option as well. What do you think?
